Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This has been a wonderful year for me and my family.  I feel very blessed.  

I want to thank all of you for your support during the past five years.  It is truly pure joy for me seeing the excitement you have by coming to my retreats.  I love all the ladies and have made some really good friends.

CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE PARTY - LOTS OF FUN!!

Relda, Jeanne and Janeen won the Christmas sweater/sweatshirt contest.   The combination age of all three Christmas shirts were 90 years old!!

We had 20 ladies participate at my 1st Annual Christmas card exchange.  And yes, we all fit in my little shop.  Nice and cozy!  We ate, introduced ourselves, exchanged white elephant scrapbook/craft presents, sang Silent Night and then exchanged our cards.  Some wore their Christmas sweaters/sweatshirts and I gave away some homemade jam to three of the ladies with the oldest sweater/sweatshirts.  We had ladies come from Idaho, Salt Lake, Morgan, Logan, Avon, Ogden, Farmington, and the Salt Lake area. We also collected scrapbook/craft items to give away to the Boys & Girls Club in Brigham City. And, with the left over cards we are donating them to the patients at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City.  Thanks so much ladies for a great time!

CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE/PARTY & FUNDRAISER

I am having a Christmas Card Exchange, Party and Fundraiser on Thursday, December 5th at 7 pm at my shop located at 555 South Main, Brigham City.  You are welcome to invite your friends and family, however, space is limited to 25. 

Not sure what a Christmas Card Exchange is?  Each person will make 25 cards each and bring them to them to my shop on December 5th. We will put them all in separate piles and then everyone will take one different card each.  Everyone will then go home with 25 different cards.  If there are any cards left over, we will donate them to the Huntsman Cancer Center for the patients to mail out to their family and friends.  

In addition to the card exchange, I will be providing a light dinner and dessert in celebration of my 5 year anniversary.  Also, to make it even more fun, we will be having a "white elephant" scrapbooking present exchange.  This kind of "white elephant" gift will be one that is not your most favorite scrapbooking item(s)!!  (Grab anything you already have at home.) 

FUNDRAISER
I am collecting any scrapbooking supplies/craft items (please bring to the party) you may not be in need of and donate them to the Boys and Girls Club in Brigham City.  Everyday they are doing craft projects and are always in need of supplies.  If you would rather donate $5.00 (or both) that would be appreciated too!  If you are not able to make it to the party and still want to donate, please get in contact with me.

AUTUMN TIME RETREAT

Thanks to everyone again for coming to my Autumn Time Retreat.  We had lots of fun and had a midnight "spooky" chocolate fountain dessert.  We also had a lady come in and give chair massages.  The ladies who had their massages loved it!

At this retreat, I gave every group a scrapbook kit with the same items.  They all had 20 minutes to put the kits together.  It was a fun activity.  Most of the pictures below are of the ladies putting them together.

EXPO CROP AND 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

THANKS TO SEI SCRAPBOOK OUTLET FOR LETTING ME HOST ANOTHER CROP AT THEIR FACILITY.  WE HAD A GREAT TIME.  I ALSO CELEBRATED MY 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY BEING IN BUSINESS AND HOSTING SCRAPBOOKING RETREATS!

HALLOWEEN CRAFT CLASS

Halloween is around the corner so it is time to start crafting!  My friend Lee is teaching another one of her fun craft classes with this Halloween Trio that includes a witch, mummy and frankenstein.  They are 4" square blocks with a witch hat.  The height is approximately 17" tall.  

The cost is $18.50.  Payment is due at the time of registration.  I do accept credit cards.

Please bring adhesive, inking chalks and scissors.

You will have two opportunities to make this spooky craft!

CRICUT CLASSES JULY 10 & JULY 17

Cricut Expression

Personal Cricut

Have a Cricut but don't know how to use it? I am having two classes this month so that you can learn to use your Cricut Personal or Cricut Expression and love using it. The classes will be held at my shop in Brigham City at 555 South Main Street. And, you will be served a piece of delicious cream pie!

We will learn to cut with vinyl and do color layering.

Please bring your Cricut and mat with an extension cord. It is not mandatory to bring your Cricut but will be helpful to have "hands on" while instruction is being given. If you have any questions, please give me a call or email me.

FUN SCRAPBOOK WEEKEND

Had so much fun with these ladies at my retreat this past weekend!  Lots of great laughs and got lots of scrapbooking done!  Thanks ladies for coming and I look forward to having you come back again.

FUN THINGS GOING ON THIS SUMMER!!

I have planned a few new classes and activities this summer!  Check out the "Classes" and "Retreat/Crop Dates & Location" tabs for more information.

We will also be doing make-n-takes this summer and I have added a few gifts for sale.  I will be adding pictures of the make-n-takes and gifts this week!

I only have one set day a week where my shop is open.  Thursdays 10 am to 6 pm.  On Thursdays I invite you to come join other ladies and scrapbook or do whatever your favorite hobby is.   I am also open other times.  You may give me a call and I would be happy to come open my shop for you to shop or scrapbook, craft, etc.  

RETREAT AND CARD CLASS

My next retreat will be June 21-22 from 9 am on Friday until 11 pm on Saturday.  It will be held at my shop in Brigham City.  The cost is $50.  You may also add on Thursday for an additional $20.  Lunch and dessert will be served everyday along with a welcome gift and lots of prizes!!  Hope you can make it.

We also will be having a card class on Wednesday, June 5.  Make three cards for $5.00.  You may also make two different Father's Day cards for $2.00 or $3.00 each.  Please see the "Class" section of this blog for pictures.

GRAND OPENING PRIZE WINNERS!

I want to thank everyone who were able to make it out to my Grand Opening week!  I had a great time and met a lot of new ladies.  If you weren't able to come see the "Coop," hopefully you can come another time.

MOTHER'S DAY CRAFT ON MAY 8

On Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 pm, my good friend, Lee Burningham, will be hosting our first craft class at the Red Rooster Scrapbook Barn "Gathering Place." The cost is $10 and includes product and detailed instruction. We will also be serving refreshments.


Attached are pictures of the project. It is a three-fold envelope with tags that pull out of each pocket. You may put pictures on the tags or write personal notes. Each pocket has a different word written on it. They are . . . Lovely, Amazing, Thoughtful, Fabulous, Fun, Wonderful, Kind and Giving. It also closes by tying it with a pink ribbon. This will be a nice, thoughtful gift you can give to your mom or a friend for Mother's Day or anytime.

GRAND OPENING MAY 1-4

I hope everyone will be able to make it out to my Grand Opening this week at the Red Rooster Scrapbook Barn "Gathering Place" located at 555 South Main, Brigham City. I will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm each day.

Come see what is happenig at the "Coop!" It is a gathering place for scrapbookers, crafters, card makers, quilters, meetings and special events. I have it decorated with roosters, sunflowers and antiques! It has a separate "tool center" supplied with Cricuts, punches, paper, ribbon, flowers, computer, printer and other misceallenous tools and supplies. These supplies are available for everyone to use at no extra cost. I also have a "kitchenette" with a refrigerator filled with drinks and snacks. There is also a microwave, crockpot, toaster, etc.

I will be serving refreshments, giving away prizes, raffling off a pink Cricut Expression and other scrapbooking supplies. With a purchase of raffle tickets, you will receive a DCWV adhesive cardstock pad of paper. I am also selling scrapbook supplies with lots and lots of kits. Most of my kits are priced between $1.75 to $5.00.

I am so excited about my shop and would love for you to come by and see it. Parking is on the south side of my building.
